Casio G-Shock GA-2100 Review — The CasiOak Hype Explained
The GA-2100 earned the nickname "CasiOak" for its Royal Oak-esque design. Is it worth the hype?
Design
The octagonal bezel is the star — unmistakably inspired by luxury sports watches but at $99. Thin at 11.8mm for a G-Shock.
Functionality
200m water resistance, shock resistant, dual-time, stopwatch, countdown timer, world time. Standard G-Shock reliability.
What We Like
Slim profile, comfortable weight (51g), the design punches way above its price. Pairs with everything from casual to smart-casual.
What We Don't
LED light is dim. Analog hands can be hard to read in low light. No solar or Bluetooth at this price.
Verdict: 8.5/10
At $99, it's one of the best watches for EDC. Tough, good-looking, and utterly reliable. The hype is deserved.
